Drawing on the latest findings and analysis from Mine Action Review’s ‘Clearing Cluster Munitions 2024’ report, this event will discuss the current state of play in CCM Article 4 implementation. We will explore the successes, the challenges, and how and why affected States and their implementing partners must take environmental considerations into account during survey and clearance programming.
There will also be a Q&A panel discussion with representatives from the government of Lao PDR, a State Party tackling massive cluster munition remnant contamination, to explore some of key elements and valuable lessons learned in its Article 4 implementation.
